In 1980, on a stormy night in South City, the peaceful life of Miranda, the owner of a noodle shop, was disrupted. Her ex-husband, “educated youth” Ian Morison, who had abandoned her for his future six years ago and sent her two bucks to sever their marriage, awkwardly opened the door of the noodle shop, accompanied by his elegantly poised current wife, Wendy Seymour, who was heavily pregnant.
